Ingredients
For the concentrate (makes about 7 servings):
1/4cupfresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
2tablespoonJapanese pink salt or pink Himalayan salt
2tablespoonraw honey (optional)
1tablespoonfresh grated ginger (optional)
1teaspoonapple cider vinegar (optional)
For each daily serving:
1tablespoonpink salt concentrate
1cup(8 oz) warm filtered water
Instructions
Juice the lemons until you have ¼ cup of fresh juice, straining out seeds.
Peel and finely grate the fresh ginger, if using, until you have about 1 tablespoon.
In a glass jar, combine the lemon juice, pink salt, honey, grated ginger, and apple cider vinegar.
Stir vigorously for about 30 seconds until the salt is mostly dissolved and the mixture looks faintly pink and mostly clear.
Seal the jar and refrigerate. The concentrate keeps for up to 7 days.
Each morning, warm 1 cup of filtered water to about 100–110°F and stir in 1 tablespoon of the concentrate. Drink before coffee or food.
Notes
If you have high blood pressure, kidney issues, or are on a sodium-restricted diet, talk to your doctor before adding a daily salt ritual to your routine.
Shake or stir the concentrate before each use, as the salt can settle at the bottom of the jar over a few days.
This recipe is a hydration ritual, not a weight-loss treatment — any results are far more likely tied to reduced snacking and better morning hydration than to any special property of the salt itself.
